The planned full band tour in 1999 was unfortunately cut short by the political consequences of the accidental NATO bombing of The Chinese embassy in Yugoslavia. [See 1999 News]

These sessions produced a video and three "B-Sides" for their Summer, 2001 single called "hEY yOU!"
このセッションから、ビデオと夏には3曲の"B-Sides"そしてシングル"hEY yOU!"が制作されました。

2001年の春に、Mr.クリストファーは日本の東京にデジタルバナナレコーディングスタジオを開き、このスタジオでThe　OBViOUSはミキシングを終え、ついに4thアルバム『4OBViOUS rEASONS』を2001年 11月にリリースした。 

Winter 2001/2002 began with renewed writing activity in Tokyo, for mr christopher, writing songs for what would be come the "obliVious" album two years later.

2001年から2002年にかけての冬は、東京での製作活動の再開でスタートした。 Mrクリストファーは曲を作り、これらは2年後のアルバム『obliVious』に収録された。

The OBViOUS briefly reconvened in Florida for a recording session in January 2002, laying down the first 4 songs for the new album. 

The　OBViOUSはレコーディングセッションのために、2002年の1月にフロリダで短期間再集結し、新しいアルバムのための最初の４曲を録音した。 

Back in Tokyo, mr christopher had his first collaboration with traditional Japanese musicians on what would be come the Gagaku-Pop song, "Kiriko".[Read more of that story here.]

東京に戻ってから、Mrクリストファーは、日本の伝統的な音楽の音楽家と初めてコラボレート し、雅楽ポップの『Kiriko』を製作した。（詳細はこちら） 

In late summer of 2002, mr christopher was introduced to drummer Takashi and jazz/slap bassist, Gaku, who became the foundation of the Japanese branch of The OBViOUS (The J-OBViOUS). This group was put together to perform OBViOUS songs with mr christopher in Japan for showcases while Brad and Tim were back in the States.

2002年の夏の後半に、Mrクリストファーはドラマーのタカシとジャス／スラップベーシストの ガクに紹介され、彼らとＴｈｅ　ＯＢＶｉＯＵＳの日本版グループ（Ｔｈｅ　 J-OBViOUS）を結成した。 ブラッドとティムがアメリカに戻っている間は、このグループが集結し、Ｍｒクリスト ファーと共に、日本のショーでＯＢＶｉＯＵＳの曲を演奏した。 

From September to December 2002, Takashi, mr christopher, and Gaku, began recording additional tracks for the new "obliVious" album as well as preparing for The J-OBViOUS' debut at the John Lennon Museum just outside of Tokyo on December 6, 2002. 

2002年の9月から12月まで、タカシ、Ｍｒクリストファー、ガクの三人は2002年12月6日に東京近郊のジョンレノンミュージアムでThe J-OBViOUSがデビューするための準備と 並行して、 ニューアルバム『obliVious』の追加曲のレコーディングを始めた。

With things now moving very quickly, mr christopher returned to the USA to finish recording the last few songs carefully chosen for Brad and Tim. 

早く計画を進行するために、Ｍｒクリストファーはアメリカに戻って、ブラッドとティムの ために注意深く選曲した最後の数曲のレコーディングを終えた。 

Back in Japan however, Takashi left the band, which scrapped the live schedule plans for Spring 2003, leaving mr christopher and Gaku to focus on getting the album done.

しかし、日本に戻るとタカシがバンドを脱会したため、2003年春のライブの計画をとりやめ、Ｍｒクリストファーとガクはアルバムを完成させることに集中することになった。 

In Summer, mr christopher gave a revealing radio interview (See DJ Tomo interview) at the pre-release "obliVious" CD party and worked with artists to design the new CD jacket. 

夏に、ＭｒクリストファーはCD『obliVious』のプレリリースパーティーでラジオの ’暴露’インタビューを受け（詳しくはＤＪトモのインタビューを見て下さい）、アーティストと共に新しいＣＤジャケットをデザインした。 

Overcoming many creative, mechanical and personal obstacles, ("triumphs" which some say give the album its resonating depth) the "...obliVious" album [info | listen] was finally completed in the July 7, 2004, a full two years after it was started. 

多くの創作上の問題、機械的な問題、そして個人的な問題という障害を乗り越え、（この『勝利』がアルバムに共鳴する深みを与えた、と言う人もいる）アルバム『"...obliVious"』は製作開始から丸2年たった2004年7月7日についに完成された

今、The OBViOUS はこれまでのヒット曲と強力な新作という武器を備えて、ライブシーンに勢いよく戻って来ようとしており、完全復活へのスタートを切るためにベテランの日本人ロックドラマーのすぎやまゆういち（すぎさん）を加入した。 

mr christopher recently quoted an old saying, "There's a time for everything under the sun ...The time for the OBViOUS is now. I've thrown away my watch and written in permanent magic marker in big letters on my wrist, the word 'NOW!'" 

Ｍｒクリストファーは、最近ことわざを引用している。「全ての物には太陽が照らす時がある・・・the OBViOUSのための時は今だ。 僕は腕時計を外し、消えないマジックで大きな文字で手首に「今！」と書いた。」 

....and that my friends is The OBViOUS history up to NOW.
